Florida Dealer Adds U-Haul Services In Hopes of Cross-Selling

Michael and Teresa Giunta recently made an addition to their automotive-restyling business that you might not expect. The couple added UHaul truck and trailer rental services.

The Giuntas have owned and operated G-Force Restyling, a Port Charlotte, Fla.-based restoration and accessories business since 2003. Now, in addition to such products and services as automotive window film, the company will offer moving equipment and supplies, such as moving vans, open trailers, closed trailers, furniture pads, appliance dollies, furniture dollies, tow dollies and auto transports.

How will U-Haul services increase the company’s restyling business? It’s about cross selling, the couple says.

“We found that adding U-Haul will give us a new avenue to meet new customers and promote what we do in the automotive industry,” the Giuntas say. “The need for trailer hitches, parts and accessories is a great niche to fill in serving U-Haul customers in this area.”

Time will tell if the less-than-conventional move pays off.
