PGC Webinar to Focus on Impact Resistance In Tornado-Prone Areas

July 2nd, 2009 by Editor

blockWhen we think of impact-resistant glazing, typically the first thing to come to mind is hurricanes or smash and grab protection. But beyond these two needs, there are numerous causes for employing impact-resistant glazing throughout the world.

The Protective Glazing Council (PGC) recently announced that its next monthly webinar series will focus on impact protection for homes and buildings in tornado-prone areas. The hour-long session will be presented by Valerie Block, senior marketing specialist for DuPont Glass Laminating Solutions. Block has more than 25 years of experience in the glass industry.

“Block is considered a true expert in the glass industry,” says Brian Pitman, director of marketing and communications for the organization. “Her presentation will provide great insight into protections that many in the country should strongly consider.”
Scheduled for the last Friday of each month, PGC’s free webinar series is designed for architects, building owners, specifiers, glazing contractors and others in the architectural community.

Block’s presentation will take place July 31, at noon EDT. For more information, visit the PGC International website at www.protectiveglazing.org/webinar
