bsfisostoryBekaert Specialty Films LLC has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification. A voluntary certification, ISO 9001:2008 is an international standard for quality management systems whose goal is to satisfy customers through consistent products and services that meet customer expectations. To achieve it, Bekaert Specialty Films satisfied a list of requirements including:

· Setting up procedures that cover all of the company’s key processes;

· Checking individual processes and the quality system for effectiveness on a regular basis;

· Maintaining adequate records;

· Monitoring processes to make sure they are effective; and

· Encouraging continual improvement.

“Bekaert Specialty Films’ achievement of ISO 9001:2008 certification highlights the commitment to quality and customer service that is at the core of our window film and industrial businesses,” said David Anderson, vice president of operations and technology at Bekaert Specialty Films. “This certification underscores the quality, experience and professionalism that distinguish Bekaert Specialty Films from our competitors.”

The ISO 9001:2008 certification follows the announcement earlier this year that BSF had achieved ISO 14001:2004 certification, which is given to companies that reduce their ecological footprint and decrease pollution and waste. In addition to the ISO certifications, the company has also been recognized as a Climate Action Leader by the California Climate Action Registry.
