Jim Black Joins HanitaTek as General Manager

December 9th, 2009 by Editor

Jim Black, who previously served as regional manager of the Americas for Bekaert Specialty Films, will join the HanitaTek team as the company’s general manager effective December 14. Black has been in the window film industry since 1988, beginning his career as a shop owner. He has served on the AIMCAL window film committee and is currently vice president of the International Window Film Association. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing.

The change comes as a result of Lloyd Brown, president of HanitaTek, creating a new firm. Through his new company, Brown will continue to provide services to HanitaTek in the area of strategic marketing and marketing communications, and will also be involved as the company builds its brands in the marketplace.

“This is the right time for me to build a new business,” says Brown, “and I am very pleased that Jim will provide the leadership that HanitaTek needs to move forward into 2010. With the challenging business climate in the overall economy, we will benefit greatly from Jim’s background and energy for the business.”

According to a company announcement, these changes are being made to continue HanitaTek’s growth in the North American window film market; increased investments in marketing activities for 2010 are also planned in order to support this growth.
