Five Reasons Why Accreditation Matters

The International Window Film Tint-Off and Conference is weeks away and the deadline to sign up for accreditation is quickly approaching. Keep in mind that accreditation is valuable in many ways, but particularly because:

  1. It legitimizes your company—having the backing of the International Window Film Association (IWFA) may give you the leg up over your competition.
  2. Knowledge is power. The classes will give you knowledge about the industry, glass, film, attachment systems and much more. This knowledge will give you the confidence and answers to help close more sales.
  3. Upon passing the test, you will receive a certificate stating that you are accredited—this can be shown to homeowners or business owners to ensure trust.
  4. Materials used for testing can be kept, and used as reference for future situations
  5. The accreditation is from a third party—it is not simply obtained by purchasing one manufacturer’s film or another. This gives you information about the industry as a whole.

Those wishing to take part in the accreditation testing must be pre-registered. The net cost for an IWFA member will be $85, including the manual. This is a discounted price from the typical accreditation testing cost of $100, plus the cost of a manual ($19.98 to $39.98). For non-members, the cost is $260, and this includes a one (1) year membership in the IWFA at the dealer level.

In the event that a non-member attendee did not want to become a member utilizing the second choice, the cost for this category would be $300.

All IWFA Accreditation participants must also be pre-registered for the International Window Film Tint-Off and Conference.
