New leadership has been announced at 3M in energy conservation. Tim Thornton was announced as the new business director for the division. Thornton previously worked for 3M as director of global sales and marketing operations for the electronic solutions division (ESD) and in the industrial and transportation business. He has also previously held Six Sigma Master Black Belt assignments in visual systems in 3M’s consumer and office business, as well as in ESD.

“Tim is well suited to lead this important business,” says Alison Schell, vice president of 3M’s renewable energy division. “His significant experience in marketing and Six Sigma practices give him great insight that is a true asset to drive 3M energy conservation goals.”
