Meet the Supporters of the 2012 IWFC: Madico Window FilmsJuly 19th, 2012 by Editor
Editor’s Note: Window Film magazine is marking the days until the 2012 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ by introducing this year’s Supporters with company profiles. Over the next few weeks, we will continue profiling each of the six Supporters you will see on the show floor—be sure to stay tuned.
Madico Window Films is once again one of our Supporters of the 2012 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (IWFC). The event is set to be held this September 20-22 in Louisville, Ky., at the Kentucky International Convention Center, the Hyatt Regency Louisville and the Louisville Marriott Downtown. The Exhibition/Extravaganza will be held September 21-22.
During the conference, attendees are able to take part in educational seminars by industry leaders and expert speakers including a keynote address by Captain Richard Phillips; network on the Exhibition/Extravaganza show floor with window film manufacturers; and view the Tint-Off™ competitions.
Window Film magazine: We are speaking with Angie Leonetti, marketing communications manager of Madico Window Films. Angie, why did Madico Window Films choose to sponsor the 2012 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (IWFC)?
Leonetti: Madico Window Films is a proud member of IWFA. We support our industry by taking a very active role in the association including sponsoring the IWFC and Tint-Off. We feel the conference is an excellent event to bring the industry together and highlight the latest products and techniques. It allows us to showcase our full line of products, contribute to the education sessions and speak directly with our customers and prospects. There is no other tradeshow that focuses specifically on window film as well as the IWFC and Tint-Off.
Window Film magazine: Why is an event like the IWFC important to the film industry?
Leonetti: As the window film industry continues to evolve and grow, we all need to stay up to date. Through the educational sessions and networking opportunities, the IWFC offers a unique chance to come together to share ideas and learn from one another. In addition, the Tint-Off brings some excitement as installers show off their skills in a friendly competition.
Window Film magazine: What can attendees expect to see from Madico Window Films at the 2012 show?
Leonetti: We will be showcasing our complete line of Madico® and Sun-Gard® automotive, architectural and safety films. The latest DefenZall® Paint Protection Film will be on hand; we encourage attendees to sample it on our interactive display. Last but certainly not least, we will share information about our NEW Sunscape® Designer Film line and the exclusive Dealer Business Opportunity available to those that really want to advance their architectural business.
Window Film magazine: Andy Hayes with Madico Window Films is giving a presentation on EFILM Analysis. Can you tell attendees what they will learn from his presentation?
Leonetti: EFILM was created specifically for the window film industry, and provides potential clients an estimated return on investment and detailed information on how energy consumption can be reduced with architectural film. Andy is an expert on EFILM and will discuss how it works, ways to customize and how to generate project specific data. An open discussion will take place on how customers are expecting more data and proof that window film will produce results before they buy.
Window Film magazine: Does Madico Window Films have any advice for the 2012 Tint-Off™ Automotive and Architectural Division competitors?
Leonetti: The stress of a competition in front of a large crowd is much different than the normal everyday installation, so we encourage everyone to practice. Maybe stage a mock competition by asking another installer to compete against you while some co-workers and friends look on. This may help you feel more comfortable tinting while others are watching. Also, bring your own tools; you’ll compete better if you are comfortable with the tools you are using.
The International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ is co-sponsored by Window Film magazine and the International Window Film Association. Auto Glass Week™ also will be held concurrently. The event is managed by Window Film magazine.
