August 7th, 2013 by Editor

Not sure what to expect from this year’s International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (IWFC) September 18-20 in Tampa, Fla.? Here’s a look at some of the seminars and speakers attendees can expect to see.

Baseball Player Jim Abbott:

Jim Abbott, professional baseball player and motivational speaker, will deliver the Wednesday keynote address at IWFC at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla., on September 18, 2013, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. about how to overcome obstacles and challenges with his speech “ADAPT: Overcoming Adversity.”

According to Abbott, “Going through life with a few extra challenges has made me a better person, not better than anyone else but better than I would have been. I’ve learned that sometimes adversity can be a good thing.”

Piccioto9/11 Survivor and FDNY Fire Chief Richard Picciotto:

Chief Richard Picciotto, the highest-ranking firefighter to survive the World Trade Center collapse, will deliver the keynote address at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Picciotto is scheduled to speak about his harrowing experience during 9/11 and what it takes to survive.

Picciotto was an FDNY Battalion Commander in Manhattan on September 11, 2001. Following the terrorist attack, Picciotto rushed into the World Trade Center to rescue those inside, but soon found himself trapped in the smoldering rubble of the North Tower after its collapse. Buried for more than four hours, he emerged and was the highest-ranking firefighter to survive the collapse.

NASCAR Driver Greg Biffle:

Famed NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, driver of the #16 3M Ford Fusion, will be making a special guest appearance at IWFC on Wednesday, September 18th to kick-off the competitions at the Tampa Bay Convention Center.

The well-known driver, whose appearance is courtesy of 3M, will meet attendees and sign autographs on site.

Biffle, originally from Vancouver, Wash., went to Roush Fenway Racing from the short tracks of the Northwest and quickly made a name for himself when he took the 1998 Rookie of the Year Award in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
