April 9th, 2014 by Editor

The Illinois House of Representatives recently passed House Bill 5468 (HB5468), which amends the current Illinois Vehicle Code. The bill “provides that persons with medical certificates allowing tinted windows only need to renew their medical certificate every 4 years, rather than annually.”

According to the amended legislation, “The information on the certificate for a window treatment must remain current and shall be renewed every 4 years by the attending physician.”

The bill passed unanimously in the House during its third reading with 110 yeas and only one abstention.

HB5468 has moved on to the Senate and is pending the Senate Assignments Committee.
