The event is set to be held October 7-9, 2014, at the Baltimore Convention Center and will include educational seminars, an exhibition hall and the attendee-favorite Tint-Off™ competitions. The host hotel is the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards.

During the conference, attendees will be able to take part in educational seminars by industry leaders and expert speakers, network on the Exhibition/Extravaganza show floor with window film and paint protection film manufacturers and suppliers, as well as view three Tint-Off divisions.

We spoke with Dick Austin, manager of retail and operations.


WFM: Why did your company choose to sponsor the 2014 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™?

DA: The WFTC & Tint-Off has become an important part of our industry. It is growing in popularity, relevance and attendance every year. 44Tools.com wants to support the continued success of a venue that is dedicated to the dealers and installers who make our industry thrive.

WFM: What will your company be displaying for attendees to view at the 2014 show?

DA: Our most important “display” will be our people, with their vast array of industry knowledge and experience. Attendees approaching our booth will be greeted with smiles and be surrounded by an array installation tools and supplies like no other company. We are featuring Xpel PPF demonstrations and everyone will be encouraged to participate – show off their skills or pick up a trick or two.

WFM: Why is an event like the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off important to the window film industry?

DA: Some might say WFTC is great because dealers are exposed to vendors and suppliers of all kinds, while others may think it’s the educational sessions and the competition. These are all great parts of WFTC, but if you ask the attendees what made the greatest impressions on their businesses, I’m sure it will be all about what they’ve learned by making friends with others who do what they do every day.

WFM: Does your company have any advice for the Tint-Off contestants?

DA: Block out the audience and think as if you are back home at your shop… and let the force be with you. (On the other hand, be yourself; relax, and let it rip).

WFM: Do you have any show specials you wish to announce early?
