Why Window Film is an Industry for the Future, Part 2

Last week, I wrote about the three reasons this industry is superior to other opportunities regarding fundamentals business principles. Here are three more reasons—this time related to window film itself. The product will fill three specific roles that will only become more necessary as time goes on.

  1. Reduce Energy Consumption

Reducing energy usage will continue to be a priority in the future. Whether you view reducing energy use as a way to save the planet, or are just trying to save some money on rising utility bills, using less energy seems to be on everyone’s priority list. In addition, many energy-producing plants are being shut down across the globe, making the need to reduce a priority even for the energy providers themselves.

Solar and Security film will be utilized more and more in the coming years to save peoples' skin, money and property.

Solar and Security film will be utilized more and more in the coming years to save peoples’ skin, money and property.

Window film is one of the most cost-effective ways to save on energy. What’s more, our product primarily reduces energy at the time of the day that peak usage is occurring. As the next generation of low-E films make their way onto the market, films will only do a better job helping consumers reduce their energy usage year-round. As a simple retrofit solution, window films play a key role in helping both homes and businesses reach their energy-reduction goals.

  1. Address Security Concerns

Unfortunately, the world keeps getting more dangerous. Violence, riots, acts of terrorism, etc., are in the news nearly every day. As a result, many individuals and businesses are looking for security products that protect their assets. Security films provide an efficient solution to things such as forced entry into a business or residence, bomb blast mitigation, smash and grab burglary and more. As people become more concerned about these things, the solution window film provides becomes a very attractive option.

  1. Help the Health-Conscious

We live in a very health-conscious society. People are willing to spend money on products that improve their health and maintain their looks. Exposure to sun and its harmful UV rays has the potential to age the skin prematurely as well as increase your risk for skin cancer. Fortunately, window film provides numerous solutions to protect peoples’ skin in their car, home and place of business. Many films have been endorsed by the Skin Cancer Foundation as providing effective UV sun protection and offer a cost effective way for someone to address these health and aging concerns.

These past two weeks I’ve explained the window film industry is a terrific opportunity. Not only is this an attractive business from an entry and operation perspective, but we also have solutions to some of the biggest market needs of today and the future. I hope that these two blogs have caused you to become excited about this industry and the opportunities that it represents.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this series. Thank you for reading!

  1. You are correct, we are in a amazing industry with lots of very important advantages.I guess we have to keep educating the consumer about these advantages.I have being doing this for the past forty year and will continue at it.Its like bring up a child, never ending

  2. Agreed Leon. Thanks for the feedback!

  3. I have been putting up film for forty years also and really love this industry. This business is somewhat rare in the fact that the product does the job and does not require any exaggeration. I have watched the progression of the products from the early days of applying glue to the window to install non-hard coated thin films. I am looking forward to what the future will provide in this business.
