PWFDA Signs on to Sponsor WFCT 2015

The Professional Window Film Dealers Association (PWFDA), the not-for-profit association dedicated to “moving the industry forward,” has signed on to be a sponsor of the 2015 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (WFCT). The event is set to be held September 30 – October 2 at the award-winning Atlantis Casino Resort Spa and Reno-Sparks Convention Center and will include educational seminars, an exhibition hall and the attendee-favorite Tint-Off™ competitions.

During the conference, attendees will be able to take part in educational seminars by industry leaders and expert speakers, network on the show floor with window film and paint protection film manufacturers and suppliers, as well as view three Tint-Off divisions.

We spoke with Chris Robinson, president, on what the company will be offering on the show floor.

WFM: What products and/or services will your company be displaying in its booth over this three-day show?

CR: The PWFDA will be opening up for membership at the start of the show for the 2016 year. We will be available to answer any questions about the association. It’s important for us to hear from the dealers and talk about issues at hand, how we can work together to help resolve some of the issues that have plagued the industry for years. This is basically ground-zero for us as we grow membership and develop the association and its benefits.

WFM:  What made you decide to be a Sponsor at the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ 2015?

CR: With WFCT being the industry’s largest trade show focusing on the window film industry, we thought it was very important to be involved. It’s the once-a-year chance to talk one-on-one with both manufacturers and dealers, giving us a better insight to what the needs are at the dealer level and how we can cater to them.

WFM:  Why do you think the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ is important to the window film industry?

CR: We think it’s important that dealers get the chance to step out of their comfort zone and learn what works in other parts of the country and really just be part of something. Nothing boosts morale like being around others that share the same passion for a fairly-unknown industry. It’s a chance to unwind and feel accomplished.

WFM: Do you have any recommendations for the Tint-Off™ competitors?

CR: As a past competitor I would say just be prepared, know the rules and remember your process. Stay calm and focused and remember you only have to be the best on the day of competition to win. Once on the floor, it’s anyone’s game!

WFM: Are there any show specials your company would like us to announce or share early?

CR: As most know we will be opening for membership during show and offering discounted memberships for the upcoming 2016 membership year. We will also have a few items to give away, so stop by the booth and see us.

WFM: And you’re sponsoring a pre-show cocktail party, right?

CR: Yes. Join us on Tuesday night for complimentary drinks and light Hors d’oeuvres in Treasures A-C at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. We hope all the contestants and attendees come and help us kick off the fifteenth year of what is sure to be an exciting event and also learn more about the newly-formed PWFDA.
