Industry veteran Gary Clark has joined the Solar Gard team as architectural business development manager for the Americas.

“I saw a tremendous opportunity with Saint-Gobain,” Clark says. “It actually revealed itself as a perfect blend that provided me with all the support of a committed and well-resourced organization, alongside great people and some incredible plans for the future. At the same time, it yields me the opportunity to keep a certain amount of entrepreneurial empowerment to keep the integrity in the results that I’m responsible for … like it’s my own company but with my ‘partners’, if you will, being the leadership at Saint-Gobain. It’s the best of both worlds.”

Clark has been in the window film industry since 1991. He replaces Luc Goemaere who will continue with the organization as global market manager for Solar Gard’s architectural segment. Clark and Goemaere will work closely together during this time of transition on all aspects of the regional flat glass business, including management of the Panorama Program and Dealer Council advisory board, according to a company statement.

The hire comes a month after Vision Quest Distributing sold the West Coast distribution rights for Huper Optik film to Dencos, a Denver-based distribution company.
