USGlass and Door and Window Market (DWM) magazines have been named as finalists in the 63rd Annual Jesse H. Neal Awards competition for editorial excellence. The winners will be announced in March during the annual Neal Awards ceremony at Pier Sixty in New York City.

 Trey Barrineau

DWM editor Trey Barrineau was recognized in the best news coverage category for his extensive coverage of the Venezuelan government’s seizure of the Guardian glass plant in that country. USGlass assistant editor and editor of Architect’s Guide to Glass Nick St. Denis was nominated in the best technical content category for his articles on the use of cold-bent glass for the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, and his look at installing a double-skin façade on the Anthony J. Celebrezze Federal Building in Cleveland.

“It’s very heartening to see quality recognized,” said Debra Levy, president of Key Communications Inc., the parent company of both publications. “Our organization focuses on providing the highest quality publications and best reporting possible. The Neals are known as the ‘Pulitzers’ of business-to-business publishing and I am thrilled that work by Nick and Trey are finalists in the competition. I know our whole editorial team, led by editorial director Tara Taffera, is thrilled as well.”

This is the third Neal nomination for USGlass, and the second for DWM.

Established in 1955, the Jesse H. Neal Awards recognize and reward editorial excellence in business media. The Neal Awards are presented annually to those editors who have submitted entries exhibiting journalistic enterprise, service to the field and editorial craftsmanship.

  1. I think you have a excellent magazine and more entrepreneurs in the window film business should take time off to read it as their is lots of good information on glass in general. Some of the editorial content is very useful, informative and can help in the tinting business Leon Levy Klingshield South Africa
