Three Window Film Companies Earn Spots on Annual Inc. 5000 List

August 23rd, 2017 by Katherine Coig

Three companies represented the window film industry on Inc. Magazine’s annual 5000 list, which ranks America’s fastest-growing private companies.

Atlanta, Ga.-based National Glazing Solutions (NGS) Films and Graphics, Solar Art Window Film and Graphics headquartered in Irvine, Calif., and manufacturer Scorpion Coatings located in Cloverdale, Ind., once again earned spots on this year’s list.

No. 3003: NGS Films and Graphics

For the second year in a row, NGS Films and Graphics has cracked the top 5,000. Last year, the company debuted at No. 3256, posting a total revenue of $4 million. The commercial window film contracting company is co-owned by James Beale and Patrick Coyle, and offers solar and security films, as well as specialty graphics.

With operations in more than 37 states, the company has experienced a growth of 111 percent in a three-year period. According to the company, its 2016 revenue amounted to an estimated $7.5 million, an 87.5 year-over-year increase.

“I am so very proud of the entire NGS team for the hard work and dedication to our customers that has enabled us to grace Inc. 5000 fastest growing private companies in America for the second year in a row,” says Beale.

No. 3239: Solar Art

Solar Art, owned by Matthew Darienzo, has made the list for its fifth-consecutive time by growing 100 percent over the course of three years. The company posted earnings of $5.4 million for 2016. Last year, Solar Art came in at No. 3147 with a revenue of $4.2 million.

The company caters specifically to the commercial and residential markets by supplying and installing window film products, including custom-colored exterior films.

“We are not big on awards, but to be listed for five years on the Inc. 5000 does show and celebrate our ability to scale and hire the right people, which is ultimately the most important factor to a growing company,” says Darienzo.

No. 4034: Scorpion Coatings

This is Scorpion’s fourth year being featured on Inc.’s 5000 list (it made its first appearance in 2013 at No. 3004). The company has climbed to No. 4034 this year, representing a 69-percent growth in sales over the past three years. The manufacturer reported a revenue of $8.2 million for 2016, up 24.2 percent from 2015.

The company offers consumers coating systems for both truck bed liners and commercial applications, window tint and protective film products.

“Scorpion is extremely honored to once again be included on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies. Having achieved this distinction four out of the last five years really shows the dedication of every employee striving to make Scorpion a better company every day,” Clayton Tomasino, CEO of Scorpion. “This honor is appointed to the company, but in truth it is really a testament to all of the support that we receive from our community and from across the world. No one person can grow a company alone—it takes family support, customer support and the willingness to consistently try new things on all levels of the business at all times.

Everyone here at Scorpion appreciates the recognition, and we hope that we can continue to make everyone proud as we try to attain the same high level of achievement in the future.”
