Seeking Nominations for the Window Film Hall of Fame

Ed Golda is a prior Window Film Hall of Fame nominee. One other will join him in 2018.

The Window Film Hall of Fame is designed to recognize those who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the window film industry. Do you know someone worthy of this honor? Nominations are now open. This year’s inductee will be honored during the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (WFCT) on September 27, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.

“It is exciting to offer this permanent record, display and honor for those who have contributed so greatly to the advancement of film,” says Debra Levy, of Window Film magazine, which sponsors the Hall of Fame.

Previous winners have included:

  • Ed Golda, who started Michigan Glass Coatings in 1979;
  • Trent and Todd Courage of Ontario-based Courage Distributing who began their career in the industry in 1989 Mississauga, Ontario, with a retail window film operation;
  • William “Bill” Burke, who helped with stopping the U.S. Government from making film on cars illegal; and
  • Robert J. Connelly, who served as president and CEO of Madico Inc. from 1997 until his retirement in 2017.

Now in its 18th year, the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ places the emphasis on automotive, architectural, paint protection, security, decorative films and wraps. This year’s event will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Registration is now open.

  1. I think the early pioneers should be recognized in the hall of fame.Mr Martin who was the man who invented the dying of film and started the Llumar Brand. The likes of Joe O Brain who started the Sun Gard brand.
    If one goes back into history one will find that there were many people who devoted their lives into creating this industry.I challenge other long time players to come up with the people who deserve to be honored in the hall of fame.
