The 2019 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ (WFCT) is in the books, and we are excited to announce all the WFCT winners. WFCT took place September 4-6 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind.

Window film tinters and paint protection film installers from around the world came together at the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ to compete for the title of “World’s Best” in their respective divisions. Technicians traveled from near and far to compete, honor the best in the business and raise industry standards. Industry veterans judged the competitors’ final product as well as their procedures, safety and cleanliness. The competitions also provided an environment to learn from other professionals, execute safe, quality installations, pick up innovative techniques and, of course, vie to become their division’s grand champion.

Chris West of CCA Motorsport in Anchorage, Alaska took first place in the Paint Protection Film Division. Placing in third place during the 2018 competitions, West came back to take home the gold! West has more than 16 years of experience, and also holds XPEL and 3M PPF certifications.

In the Architectural Division, Art Salazar of U.S. Tint/Shadow-Enterprises in Fresno, Calif. was the gold medalist. When asked what the main reason was to compete this year, he said “to showcase my skills that I have acquired over the years.” With 13 years of experience, and some of his most challenging jobs being a 1995 Chevy Impala and the People’s Church in Fresno, Calif., he definitely showcased his skills.

Keven Pellerin of Reflex Teinte Inc. in Quebec, Canada was the winner in the Automotive Division. This was the first WFCT competition that Pellerin has competed in, and has 8 years of experience in the tinting business.

There were also many door prize winners that took home Visa gift cards, multiple varieties of window films, tint lights, sponsor gift certificates and more. Congratulations to just a few of our many winners during the show: Hau Tran of Midwest Tinting, Roberto Ramos of Precision Window Tinting and Jesse Provell of Tint Works LLC.

Congratulations to all of the winners, and thank you to our sponsors, speakers, judges, competitors and attendees who made WFCT 2019 such a successful event. Your time and contributions for this event helped WFCT achieve its goal of bringing quality education and networking opportunities to the window film, paint protection film, decorative, and security industries.

Get your sunscreen ready! WFCT is excited to announce that the 2020 show will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. September 22-24, 2020. Be on the lookout on our official event website or our Facebook page for additional details in the coming months.
