ABN AMRO BANK Installs Solar Film on Its Buildings to Become CO2 Neutral

ABN AMRO bank enlisted the help of engineering firm Koppes and solar window film producer Umisol to make all its office buildings ‘Paris Proof’ by 2030. According to the bank, the window film application will enable it reduce its ecological footprint while lowering the company’s energy bills.

“We are the architects behind the newly launched green concept, and the pilot phase has been completed,” said Robert Koppes, CEO.

Window films offer substantial savings on corporate energy bills, according to Koppes Engineering. “Recently 12,000 m² of Umisol window film were installed at the ABN Amro headquarters in Amsterdam, resulting in annual savings and substantially reduced CO₂ emissions for the bank,” said Koppes.
