30 Years of Empowering the Industry – Celebrating the IWFA

March 24th, 2021 by Emmariah Holcomb

The International Window Film Association (IWFA) is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Over the past three decades the association has empowered the industry and has made sure window film’s benefits are more commonly known to consumers.

The IWFA’s mission is to provide value-added services to our membership, to help sustain and grow its members’ businesses, and to partner with manufacturers and other members to increase consumer awareness and demand for all types of professionally-installed window film products. For three decades the association has supported the industry’s growth industry by educating policymakers involved in the creation and enforcement of building codes, vehicle tint laws, legislation and financial incentives at the national and local level.

“The automotive issues are pretty well settled, as the IWFA has a legislative component,” says current president Jack Mundy. “We’ve done a lot of work with building codes and have done things to get window film generally excepted and I’ve been there for the entire 30 years.”

The IWFA will continue to provide more value-added components and education for dealers.

The IWFA also recently introduced online testing for its accreditation program. “People can now do it online, and to celebrate our 30th year we’ll be giving a promo code for accreditations testing, which should be out by the end of this week,” he says.
