Dear Reader January/February 2020

Sometimes I can hardly believe 2020 is here and in full swing, as it feels like half of 2019 came and went in an instant. Now we’re starting a new decade in an industry that shows no signs of slowing down. Are you prepared for what’s ahead?
As I centralize my efforts and goals for this year, (I know that seems to be the “in-thing” to do “resolutions”), I’m more inspired than ever to continue owning my craft as a journalist. This also means continuing to highlight the industry that seems to have more to it than what’s seen on the surface. I look forward not only to telling your stories and bringing you the latest news on what’s going on in the industry, but also covering events and meeting up with you at various window film related shows throughout the year.
New Department
Speaking of all things new and on the horizon, the WINDOW FILM magazine team and I have been thinking about rolling out a new department that focuses on tinters helping each other with issues they may have encountered during an installation, tips on how they overcame a difficult wrap, down to what tools they often rely on … you get the gist. The goal is to take some of the things that you’ve encountered and help others in the industry who might be faced with a similar situation at their shop.
The idea was sparked from a conversation I had not too long ago with a reader who wasn’t so keen on not having a printed resource for concerns he had. As many of you know, I welcome changes and want to make sure you’re voices are heard, so let’s start now. If you have anything that you think will fit into our new department reach out to me at eholcomb@glass.com and you just might see your suggestion in a future issue.
Your News
Oh and don’t worry, a new department isn’t the only I want to bring up, as I’ve also spoken with many of our readers about the latest news, events and milestones in your businesses. If you have something you’d like to share, or just spread the word about, don’t hesitate to let me know, as I’m often looking for unique items to feature in our weekly e-newsletter.
Happy New Year
From all of us at WINDOW FILM magazine, we’d like to wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.
