Ready Set Go

By Emmariah Holcomb

I look at six calendars every day. They are located everywhere from my office to one of my upstairs bathrooms. And as I look at them, one thing is blatantly clear–it’s coming and will be here sooner than some might be ready for. That’s right, the 2019 International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off (WFCT) the one show that gives you just what you’re looking for—everything in the industry under one roof.

This time around shouldn’t be as eye-opening as last year was for me, mostly because it’s not my first time going. I know just what to prepare for and how many of my business cards should be on my person at all times. The one thing I’ve been waiting for the most is rather simple– meeting you face-to-face. I’m a firm believer in interpersonal communication and more often than not, things get missed when communicating by phone or email.

This year’s show is jam-packed with seminars, demos, real-time updates, and competition heats that will leave you wanting more; what’s not to be excited about? This is the only show specifically made for the window film industry by industry personnel with decades under their belts. Are you ready for it?

Whether you’re competing, at a booth, or just coming for the experience, it’s sure to be something memorable that you’ll benefit from. Last year when I went to WFCT I had only gotten my feet wet, and had been in the industry for a fortnight shy of four months. It was intimidating at first when I had to throw up a few elbows just to make it into the showroom floor when the doors opened on the first day. I met more people than I have names for, and saw true talent and passion for the industry unfold before my eyes. It was almost like a dream you don’t wake up from because it’s your life.

I might not have been ready last year, but this year I’m focused, determined and more knowledgeable. I can’t wait to see you in Indianapolis, Ind. Oh, and if you’re having a tough time finding me, that’s probably a good thing because I’ll be doing 50,000 things each day, but no matter how busy the days might get I’ll always make time for those in the industry that took the time to welcome me into it.

So get ready, get set, and let’s go!
