Avery Dennison

Online Car Wraps Revamped With New Product Line

Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions launched the online car wrap visualizer, which the company says is the first of its kind. The new online resource allows shops and installers to use it as a tool to provide a 3D preview a wrap for their customers.

The goal was to eliminate the “norm” of holding up swatches to vehicles for an idea of what the finished project would look like, as the visualizer allows users to choose from 120 different colors. All colors are included in the company’s supreme wrapping film and conform chrome series portfolios, the tool also allows its users to choose from different makes and models of vehicles. Although not all vehicle models are included the system, Avery Dennison says additions will continue to be made over the next few months.

Transitional Photochromic Ceramic Window Film

TintDepot.com offers a transitional window film with “photo-chromic” technology that has been combined with a premium ceramic heat rejection film to give drivers the best of both worlds, according to the company.

When the film is exposed to the sun it automatically transitions to a darker shade of 45% and when it is out of the sun the film will transition back to the default shade of 65% within minutes. The company says the user doesn’t need to do anything additional to see the transition start and finish.

This film rejects 46% of the heat to help drivers stay cool in their cars. It comes with a 10-year warranty for the ceramic film and a 5-year warranty on the photochromic technology.

Solar Gard

Nature Meets Nanotechnology with VortexIR Ceramic Film

Solar Gard announced the availability of the VortexIR ceramic film series through its network of professional installation partners in North America. The new addition leverages the company’s experience in nanotech applications, while also merging it with one of nature’s greatest materials, according to the company.

VortexIR blocks more than 99% of UV rays, rejects up to 96% of infrared rays and has a total Solar Energy Rejection of up to 65%. Metal particles found in many films reflect a portion of the radio spectrum, but the ceramic in VortexIR does not – meaning the advanced application won’t interfere with GPS navigation and other electronic devices.

The company’s latest aftermarket solution also reduces interior fading, comes in a wide range of shades to accommodate driver preference and minimize glare, and has a limited lifetime warranty.
