AP Corp. Celebrates 20th Anniversary

December 8th, 2021 by Chris Collier

AP Corp., a window film and graphic solutions company, is celebrating its 20th year in business. Since opening in 2001, the Sykesville, Md., company has grown from a one-person operation installing automotive tint to 20-plus team members working in more than 20 product categories. Those segments include commercial security window film, solar window film, branded fleet wraps and building wraps.

CEO Bill Valway started AP Corp. in 2001 in his parent’s garage tinting cars. He added paint protection film (PPF) and vehicle wrap services over time. Eventually, vehicle tinting evolved to tinting windows on homes and commercial buildings. Twenty years later, what began with tinting cars expanded into tinting skyscrapers and wrapping commercial fleets.

The company added a second location in 2019 to match the demand for its graphics printing services. Less than two years later, a bigger space was in the works. AP Corp. moved its print and production space into a new location in September 2021, doubling production space.

AP Corp.’s evolution continues two decades into its existence. In 2021, AP Corp extended its branding throughout customer-facing areas in its headquarters. The company also rebranded its fleet, which “uses modern design elements, new age wrap materials, and updated branding elements to showcase exactly how far a wrap can go.”

“We thank everyone who has been a part of the exciting journey over the last 20 years, and we look forward to the next 20 years (and beyond),” states the release.
