Architectural Film
1 Josh Miller
Green Valley Window Tint, Henderson, Nev.
“I install flat glass every single day so that definitely helps,” Miller said. “I definitely feel a lot more comfortable now that I’ve come and competed a couple times. You wouldn’t think it even though you do this all day, every day.”
2 Bruce Slavich
ASCTinting (Advanced Solar Control Tinting) and TRÜ Spray Systems, Ventura, Calif.
“I am humbled and inspired by the window film industry and I could not have done it without the support of the TRÜ Crew,” Slavich said.
3 Les Helton
Performance Window Tinting Carrollton, Ga.
“It was great to be on the podium again,” Helton said. “It definitely takes a ton of hard work, repetition and dedication to be one of the best. What an honor to represent LLumar and those awesome folks. I always look forward to competing and seeing my tint buddies.”
Automotive Film
1 Jason Teasley
Tint Pro and Accessories, Lowell, Ark.
“There’s so many extremely good tinters that came out this year,” Teasley said. “I had no clue I was going to be in this position. I am blessed to be here, to compete against these guys and learn the things that they’re teaching.”
2 Daniel Munoz
Honest Tint, Yucaipa, Calif.
“Being around people who love what I love always leaves me inspired,” Munoz said. “Taking second is just confirmation of my hard work. As far as next year, I’ll be gunning for first.”
3 Maksim Kutsenko
Sun Stoppers Glass Tinting, Charlotte, N.C.
“This is the fifth time I have competed at WFCT,” Kutsenko said. “Each year, it is a pleasure to meet and learn from other tinters who are at the top of their game. It is an honor to compete with the world’s best and make it to the finals—let alone place in the top three.”
Paint Protection Film
1 Kyle Murdock
Oz Braz, Gilbert, Ariz.
“I always think the first part—that full fender—is the hardest for me,” Murdock said. “Once I get to the bumper, I’m good. It’s something with the first easy part that’s the hardest for me.”
2 Sergey Yakobchak
New Layer Customs, Troy, Mich.
“It was my first time competing at WFCT, and I am very surprised at how much this competition is focused on quality rather than speed,” Yakobchak said.
3 Craig Bledsoe
Elite Clear Bra, Huntington Beach, Calif.
“What it means to me to participate in the competition and to place third is a pretty humbling experience to see the talent that’s out there and to be privileged enough to be able to place in the top three,” Bledsoe said.
Decorative Film
1 Brent Caithness
Complete Film Solutions, Booragoon, Western Australia
“It was exhausting and full-on because we had a lot of elements to put together,” Caithness said. “But it was fun—I really enjoyed it.”
2 Molly Reynolds
Sunsational Solutions, Austin, Texas
“It was absolutely amazing,” Reynolds said. “This was the first time that WFCT had a team-based event, and our teamwork was a major element. We all got into the booth and did what we do every day to the best of our ability.”
3 Joe Guzman
Prime Window Films, Hemet, Calif.
“Taking Bronze in the decorative division at WFCT 2022 was an honor,” Guzman said. “[I am] very thankful and plan on coming back for Gold.”
