By Chris Collier
I have a goal to grow the Window Film magazine brand. A big part of that mission includes expanding the Focus on Film e-newsletter blogging lineup with heavy-hitting industry names. So without further ado, meet our team of bloggers, and stay tuned for new additions in the future.
THE TEAM
Tint Wizdom
by Erik Devash, founder of Tint Wiz
Erik Devash is the founder of Tint Wiz, a customer relationship management software system. Tint Wiz allows users to book appointments, create proposals, send invoices, schedule jobs, manage film inventory, notes, tasks and reminders, attach before and after pictures and video. Devash is the newest member of the blogging team. He also hosts a podcast dubbed Tint Wizdom.
The Cornerman
by Chris West, director of Automotive Films at XPEL
Chris West entered the industry in 2003 while working as a civil engineer in Alaska. He ultimately left his engineering career to dedicate himself full-time to his new shop—Clear Car Armor. After adding tint, detailing, vinyl wraps and performance add-ons, the name was changed to CCA Motorsport. Starting in 2017, Chris began traveling to provide consulting, training and bespoke installs across the country and internationally. In 2021, he sold CCA Motorsport and took a full-time position with XPEL as the director of automotive films.
Changing Tides
by Kristy Yelle, co-owner of Palmetto Protection Films in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
After relocating from North Carolina to the sunny, coastal shores of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kristy and her husband Matthew embarked on the journey of business ownership. Birthing a new business at the start of a pandemic was no easy feat, but the couple persevered. Kristy currently serves in various leadership roles locally and nationally while juggling the day-to-day functions of a growing company.
Lastly, my blog is called First Things Film. I joined Window Film magazine and PPFMag as assistant editor in April 2021 after graduating from Georgia College and State University with a mass communication degree. I spent two years of my studies writing for The Colonnade, the school’s award-winning student newspaper. I furthered my journalistic experience at the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Macon, Ga., for my senior-year internship. Today, I am the editor of Window Film magazine and PPFMag. My coverage led to PPFMag receiving its first-ever American Society of Business Publication Editors Award in 2021.
Chris Collier is the editor for Window Film magazine.
