1 Self-Tinting Windows? Ford’s Got ‘Em

Ford Global Technologies is seeking a patent for a system capable of automatic window tinting. According to the filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, published May 9, 2023, the “occupant light exposure detection system” would include processing and memory capabilities, with the latter storing instructions for the former.

2 Window Film Magazine Visits Eastman’s Facilities

Window Film magazine’s team traveled to Eastman’s Martinsville, Va., facilities for an extensive overview of the window film and paint protection film production process. Window film and graphics installation company Solar Art announced its acquisition of New York Window Film, a company specializing in commercial and decorative window film primarily in the Manhattan metro area. This acquisition solidifies Solar Art’s operations on the East Coast and expands its capabilities on both coasts, according to the company.

4 Protecting the Peach State: Tiaan Krige’s Swift Rise to Fame

Tiaan Krige was excited. The owner of Atlanta’s AP3 cracked open a sparkling water as sunshine spilled into his lobby, which contained a different kind of shine.
